I work with clients who are experiencing:
Sex work related issues
Panic attacks & anxiety
Trauma & PTSD
Depression & loneliness
I work with sex workers, empaths, intuitives, LGBTQ+ folks, people impacted by trauma, & individuals who have survived/are surviving religious trauma.
My approach is direct, intuitive, somatic (body-centered), emotion-focused, and nurturing.
I talk a lot with my hands & love to share my knowledge about the brain, nervous system, and human nature. I sometimes bring in energy work & spiritual language into session work with clients.
I offer modalities like Brainspotting therapy & role play into my work with clients. When working in person, I offer sand tray therapy and other creative modalities.
“When I first met Margaret I was newly sober and having difficulty navigating both my inner and outer worlds. I was mentally and emotionally flooded. Margaret met me right where I was and has seen me through every step thereafter. Her intuition is spot-on; she knows when to begin a session with a grounding meditation so I can get the most out of my time with her and be present. The lessons learned and space she holds for me within her office ripples throughout my life, and I am healing. I cannot recommend her enough.“
“Margaret has a genuine care for her clients, which is expressed through her sensitivity, empathy, and compassion; her intuitive sense has been invaluable in helping me to access deep healing. I initially came to Margaret for help during a period of grief, but what I have received in a year of working together is much deeper & has profoundly shifted my sense of self. Her supportive, caring nature has aided my personal growth while helping me learn how to hold loving space for myself. I’m incredibly grateful for her invaluable guidance in my journey of learning to live in alignment with my highest self.”
“Margaret’s style of practice is refreshing and different from any other therapist I have had in the past. She is warm, real, and very well-informed about psychology, science, and society. She cares about social justice issues, which is a big part of why I chose her in the first place. If you want to work with someone nurturing and straightforward, Margaret is a good fit.”
